Welcome to Shoreham’s charity Raft Race created in 2019 by Sussex Yacht Club, inspired by the much missed Bath Tub Race, with the aim of raising much needed funds for charity and to bring the local community together for a fun event on the water. With one thing and another all our best intentions were thwarted in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. We aspire to make this an annual, fun, Summer event looked forward to by whole community.

But it is not all just about fun we want to raise funds for local charities. We aim to pass on all surpluses over and above the event costs to our selected charities.

 We keep costs low by being volunteer led and doing everything ourselves.
